Products with no March sales vanished from the report
Merchandising: the March product report only lists 3 products. We have 6 in the catalog, and the ones that didn't sell are exactly the ones we need to see.
product sales march is meant to list every product with its March units and revenue, zeros included. It starts from products and LEFT JOIN s order items , which is right. Then someone added the March date filter to the WHERE clause. For a product with no March sales the joined columns are NULL , NULL = DATE '2026-03-01' is not true, and the row is dropped. The WHERE filter on the right-hand table quietly turned the LEFT JOIN into an inner join. Investigate: Fix product sales march so all 6 products appear, counting only items ordered in March 2026 ( 2026-03-01 up to, not including, 2026-04-01 ). Columns: product id , name , units (0 when nothing sold), revenue (rounded to 2, 0 when nothing sold). Order by product id .
