Average order value fell by half with no change in sales

E-commerce lead: the dashboard says AOV dropped from ~$90 to ~$45 since the line-item migration. Revenue and order counts look normal.

The source table moved from one row per order to one row per order line . daily aov still computes avg(amount) over the rows it reads, so it now returns the average line value, not the average order value. Orders with several lines pull the number down; nothing changed in actual sales. The fix is a grain fix: sum lines up to one row per order, then average. Investigate: Fix daily aov so avg order value is total revenue per order (average of order totals). Columns: order date , orders (distinct orders that day), avg order value (rounded to 2). Order by order date .
