Conversion Error: 'N/A' is not a number
The stg_payments model has failed three runs in a row. Downstream dashboards are stale.
Conversion Error: Could not convert string 'N/A' to DOUBLE
A partner started sending 'N/A' (and sometimes an empty string) in the amount column of their payments file. The staging model casts every value with CAST(amount AS DOUBLE) , so a single bad value fails the whole run. (Snowflake reports the same thing as Numeric value 'N/A' is not recognized .) Investigate: Fix stg payments so it never fails on bad values: - amount becomes a DOUBLE , and anything that isn't a number becomes NULL ; - add a boolean column amount is valid that is true when the value parsed. Keep the columns payment id , amount , amount is valid , in that order.
